Remember Wayne the 'Dingo' Wasey, a Kiwi flank who joined the Ikeys at UCT for two seasons of all out rugby. Dingo was extremely versatile on an off the field and famously won the league with the UCT Eagles in 2006.

Remember Raynn 'the Rhino' Bruce, the big unit prop / part time wing. He was the top varsity scoring prop of his time and also one of the few UCT men of that era who got a provincial look in.

Remember Adrian Hewlett, the hooker who was more of a lineout throwing blindside flank - with excellent thowing skills, as far as flanks go? Gouda was part of the legendary team that smashed the Maties in 2002 - a firm believer in the big forward runs hard at the opposition flyhalf tactic he was the nightmare of many an opposition number 10, but unfortunately also his own flyhalfs who often just had to wait their turn.
